A nice simple commercial, the camera moves continuously through
4 rooms as they build themselves from empty rooms to finished & furnished.
Around 30 passes per room but as we had matched all the walls and
room corners we had to shoot major overlaps.
It was the first shoot on Granada's new Milo rig, in fact, as far
as I know, the first shoot ever on a Milo.
That would be why we had Simon Wakely, the programmer with us, and
probably why it tried to kill me and we lost 3 days shooting whilst
Simon & Mark Roberts tried to get it to work.
It was fairly clear that Simon had little understanding of how we
actually used the things, I'm sure he's a great programmer but at
that time I'd try to talk framings and he'd mutter Bezier curves
and splines and target tracking, yes Simon, it sounds great but
the move doesn't work!
