One of those "simple" commercials where you catch yourself
out, there was an obvious way to light through the windows and a
way I'd been wanting to try for a while.
The new way looked a mess! so we re-lit the obvious way and were
still ready in time.
Bailey wanted to shoot all but a couple of shots with a 300mm, as
he operates himself I found it easiest to base myself at the video
assist so that I could see what he was framing on 100 feet away
:-)
His comment to this was "only bloody DP I've ever worked with
who spends all day watching telly!"
It was strange to have a Steenbeck on set and watch rushes each
day. I hadn't printed for at least 6 years prior to this.
