These clips are to give a taste my corporate and drama work.
This is the result of a 6 week shoot for Nutrilite. We started in Oregon and worked our way down the west coast of the US via Las Vegas, Death Valley, Los Angeles & Riverside, into SW Mexico and then on to Brazil.
Just Justin my assistant and me as crew, we picked up Jimmy Jibs and operaters as & when. We had an Aaton, a Bolex and a Mini-DV.
Outside-In was part of the Granada TV City Life series.
With a schedule of 6 minutes a day of screen-time they were very nervous about using a "commercials" cameraman, I was going to be very slow, they "knew" that. The first morning we shot the track down the corridor and the ensuing scene, we had from 08:30 to 12:30 to shoot it. By 11:00 the PM and producer were getting very bervouse that I was "way behind schedule". At 11:30 we turned over on scene 1, that was quickly finished and the AD asked me "how long to light the next scene?" "it's lit" this was my reply to him every time he asked the question in that location.
It seemed to make more sense to me to light the sequence in it's entireity and then let the director and actors get on with the scene with no delays, they liked the approach but production were very nervous when I continued this approach for the whole shoot, they could never tell if they were behinb or ahead of schedule, we finished early with extra material shot.
